Rosen was signed by the Cleveland Indians in 1942 and spent time in the minors for the 1942, 1946 and 1947 seasons. He ended up losing the 1943-45 seasons due to his military service. Rosen was eventually called up to the big leagues in 1947 and spent then next 9 seasons playing for the Indians.


Rosen put together an impressive career slashing .285/.384/.495 while clubbing 192 homeruns and drove in 717 runs. He was a 4x All-Star from 1952-55 and won the American League MVP Award in 1953.
